Teacher Self-Care 101
Though it’s clear that teachers are willing to sacrifice in order to ensure their students are receiving the best instruction, it shouldn’t require massive amounts of burnout across the profession to do so. However, in the industry at large, there is a teacher shortage nationwide. It’s easy to see why, though. There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to teaching. Many would assume that it just requires an honest effort each and every work day, but the truth is to many teachers, it feels like they’re never off the clock. Developing lesson plans, ensuring each child receives the personalized care they deserve and still finding time to engage with their own families can feel insurmountable. For educators that give so much, they certainly deserve to give themselves the care that they’re owed. Through self-care and its various methods, even teachers can find tranquility at the end of their days and put the best foot forward going into tomorrow.
